The Murder Monkeys return as a playable monster in Monsters & Mortals.
The Murder Monkey is a balance monster with normal speed, average health, and normal damage output, making it a moderate character for collecting shards and fighting other monsters. Its ultimate ability, "Slicer Dicer", allows it to use his knives to quickly pursue and damage players. This is highly efficient for chasing and killing mortals up close and especially monsters in the speed or balanced classes. Because it offers the highest potential damage output of all characters as of the beta demo, it has the capacity to kill three consecutive players of any class, though this circumstance is highly unlikely.
Due to its balanced stats and straightforward ultimate ability, it is considered to be one of most versatile monsters in Monsters and Mortals, being good at both collecting shards in "Shard Mayhem", and chasing down mortals in "Maze Escape", but nonetheless other monsters can do better than the Murder Monkey. Because of these qualities, the Murder Monkey is a great starter monster for beginners.
