Infected Balathu is a playable monster that appears in Monsters & Mortals. He released alongside with Jason Kolchek, Salim Othman, and Infected Clarice Stokes in the House of Ashes chapter.
Appearance[]
Balathu wears the standard garb of an Akkadian soldier, minus the half-faceplate. He wears studded leather armor and a helmet, and carries a spear. He has a postiche beard. His eyes are pale along with his skin because of his infection.
Gameplay[]
As a Monster of the Power class Balathu punches hard and has the most Hp a Monster can have but, he is slow and has a big attack cooldown. Making him perfect for fights. He attacks with a spear and depending whether it's a light or heavy attack will determine how far he thrusts it forward.
His ultimate ability, "Flaming Spear", when activated will make him throw a spear that is on fire. If it hits an enemy it will do 150 dmg on impact + burn damage (50 dmg total, 10 per second). This totals up to 200 damage. It will also pierce through enemies as well so you can potentially hit multiple targets.
It is very fast so be sure to use this at the right time so you don't miss or let the enemy see it coming so they can dodge it or tank the hit or heal off of it with an item. This can be devastating when used during a fight with your main attacks.
