Chapter 5: Fated Conclusion (or simply Chapter 5) is the upcoming fifth and final chapter of Dark Deception.

Dark Deception Chapter 5 is the final chapter in the Shattered Ring Arc. Face off against multiple new nightmares in the final confrontation with Malak and his army of monsters.
Dark Deception mixes the fast-paced style of classic arcade games with fun horror game design. Trapped in a dark world full of nightmarish mazes and anxiety-inducing monsters, the only way out is to face the darkness and find a way to survive.

Doug wakes up in a dark void and uses his tablet for light. Elise Houser calls his name, and Tammy Houser calls "Daddy". Elise asks Doug why he's there, and Doug claims he wants to make up for his actions, though Elise explains to him that he's there for another reason, with Tammy tells Doug how the end for him has arrived and he needs love. Dark hands suddenly appear around Doug and pull on him. Bierce puts her hand on Doug's shoulder, waking him from the hallucination. Doug and Bierce take a quick glance at the portal for Prison Panic and Doug enters it.[2]

- Chapter 5 will be the largest chapter in Dark Deception. It is bigger than all of the previous 4 chapters combined.
- "Wicked Ways" will be unlocked when all the previous levels are S ranked and all Elise's notes are collected, which will uncover the game's true ending.
- In the 30th Q&A, it was confirmed that in order to get the true ending it's also required to get S rank in "Wicked Ways".
- In the 28th Q&A, Vince confirmed that there are six total endings (including the S-rank one). Two of them will be earned by completing the game on Easy and Demon modes.
- Vince Livings stated that Chapter 5 might be harder than Chapter 4.[3]
- Vince backed this up on Twitter by describing the chapter as "absolute madness".[4]

- In Cutting Room Vol. 3, one of the cut tracks is named "Malak's Lair (Chapter 5)", which implied that one of the levels would be Malak's Lair.

- In the 15th episode of the Q&A, Vince confirmed that all other enemies from previous nightmares will likely return as threats in this chapter where the player has to deal with all of them again, which could make the chapter more challenging and difficult.

- Based on the poll, he decided to split the chapter into half; levels nine and ten would've been released in the first part, and levels eleven and twelve would've been released in the second half.
