| “ | You're only delaying the inevitable, Bierce. You can't keep me out of your little pocket dimension forever. | ” |

Bierce's Ballroom is the primary hub location in Dark Deception, owned by Bierce. It is a pocket dimension serving as her residence and the area the player returns to between levels, as well as where they obtain their powers from the Ring Altar.
Appearance[]
Bierce's Ballroom is a large circular room with rich decor. The room has an elegant ceiling with an intricate gold and white pattern, and is illuminated by elegant chandeliers with warm lighting. In the centre of the room stands the Ring Altar. Around the ballroom are 10 portals leading to each nightmare - 5 on the left side and 5 on the right. There are also pillars located between these portals. Behind the altar, between the right and left side of the portals, is a staircase leading upwards to a mysterious door with Malak's bloodshot disembodied eye in the centre of it.
Trivia[]
- It is speculated that Bierce's Ballroom is a purgatory that is located between hell and heaven.
- However, at the beginning of Bearly Buried, Malak thought that "Heaven & Hell" are nothing more than rather "quaint and amusing" concepts that humanity believed in an afterlife. Instead, it was revealed that the entire Dark Deception universe takes place in some sort of "dark dimension." Not much is really known about it, but according to Malak it's a place where all evil souls gather, slowly fighting one another to become the "ultimate evil."
- Malak mentions in Chapter 3 that Bierce's Ballroom is a pocket dimension of hers.
- Her seventh diary entry, says that this is the exact same Ballroom Bierce had before she ended up here.
- According to fourth and sixth secret notes (where E mentioned a dollhouse and a cathedral), and Bierce's eighth diary entry (where she encounter giant spiders, rats, and Edgar wearing nothing but a diaper and his goat mask), it's implied that each and everyone who stumbled into the "dark dimension" where Bierce's Ballroom is located has their own different nightmares and sentient manifestations of their own personal demons, brought to life by Malak and presumably the other deal-making demons as their subordinates, since these aforementioned locations and monsters were never encountered by Doug during his journey.
- The fact that every single nightmare are the twisted manifestations of fears and other psychological problems may be heavily influenced by the Silent Hill franchise.
